My best friend got a heart tattoo on her wrist done by Nick Bergin on Friday afternoon. She basically told him that she wanted a heart on her wrist and pointed in the area where she wanted the heart, and he made a design and picked a spot for it. Initially, I thought the heart was weird because it was stylized and placed sort of sideways. I imagined she would be getting a black outline with a fully colored red heart, but he custom shaded it and it looked much better than I had ever expected. My bff absolutely loves her tattoo and she can't stop looking at it. She's got the bug; she's already started talking about what she wants next!

(They have a $100 minimum charge.)

Why I still only gave it 4 stars:
I kept calling n Sunday (7/6) to try to make an appointment for my best friend, but nobody would answer the phone. I must have called over 6 or 7 times in the course of an hour to try to get through, but no answer. We ended up driving to Godspeed to see if it was open, and they were, but we had to wait around for 20 minutes before someone came out to the front to ask if we needed any help. While I understand the environment is supposed to be laid back, I think there should be some way to get an employee's attention since calling and just standing in the front doesn't seem to work.

She ended up making an appointment with a $50 deposit for Friday, 7/11.

Today is my seven-year LiveJournal anniversary. Together, we have gone through 3 boyfriends, 3 heartbreaks, 4 schools, 3 moves, and all that life dragged along the way. Through Livejournal, I've met several friends who have become wonderful real-life friends, and for that I'm grateful.

I've blogged at Vox, Blogger and Xanga, but I always come back to LiveJournal because it's like the shoe with the perfect fit. (Plus, LiveJournal has communities (like forums), which is one thing Vox, Blogger and Xanga won't ever be able to replicate.)

Happy 7-year anniversary, LJ! Here's to 7 more. :)

This is my best friend's favorite place to buy dim sum to-go. I think the chasiu bao has better pork here than at the place across the street.

The music selection was good enough.

The bathrooms were clean enough.

The price was cheap enough.

It was just enough.

Way cramped inside, but only a couple blocks from my best friend's apartment and they sell lots of snacks-- even the Oishi Salt & Vinegar Cracklings!!

Yum! The ice cream at Mitchell's is so creamy. Whenever I come here, I'm always tempted to buy a larger size to go for when I'm at home, but my guilty conscience always says NO, so I settle for a pint. I wish they had a location on the peninsula, because then I'd be here all the time. Er, maybe it's good they don't have a location on the peninsula, because then I'd see the pounds start to pile on.

I read all of the "I have Asian hair..." comments on Yelp and decided to give Mission 6 a try for my first expensive haircut. I don't get my haircut often, so I thought this one would be special. Well, I left Mission 6 and really loved my hair (because it had been curled), but the next day after washing it, you couldn't even tell it had been cut. In fact, even though I had close to 8 inches chopped off, my best  friend didn't notice that it had been cut.

I love love love Anthropologie, and if I could afford it, I'd buy one of everything. This is one of those places where I can always find something that I like and want. The store layout is easily navigable and they even have nice dressing rooms.

The last time I was here, I bought an A Field Flower sweater with wooden snap buttons and penguin pockets for only $30, originally $168. What a steal, because it has penguin pockets and if you saw it, you'd want it too! So cute, right??

I came to Bliss Bar for the Yelp cookie swap last December. Around 12 Yelpers congregated near the bench area, tossed back a few drinks and shared cookies and baked goods. As for the interior space, I'm partial to red, so I really liked it. Also, there is ample seating here, which is always a big plus in my book.

I came here mid-week with a girlfriend and the place was kind of dead. The bartender was nice enough, and my drink was alright, so maybe I shouldn't complain, but their photo booth machine was broken!!! And, and, and... gosh, what a let down.
